This is a very cute, photogenic filly with a winning personality.  She is very correct and well muscled and very good-natured.  Her sire is the World and National Champion Zips Dark Chocolate and her dam is by three-time Canadian National Champion Dream Scheme.  Amie is the results of a breeding purchased at the 2009 ApHC Stallion Services Silent Auction which makes her eligible to participate in the 2012 World Sale two year old incentive futurities.  She hasn’t color yet but you never know and sometimes those judges at the open shows prefer solid horses.  This is a very refined and pretty filly – a real eye-catcher. 

Amie’s sire is Zips Dark Chocolate.  We first saw Zips Dark Chocolate at the 2006 World Show and were immediately impressed.  He moves beautifully.  The judges agreed.  Zips Dark Chocolate is a World Championship in Hunter in Hand and a National Championship in Junior Trail.  His versatility is evident by his numerous Register of Merits including ones in Halter, Hunter in Hand, Hunter Under Saddle, Western Pleasure, Trail and Most Colorful. This is type of versatility for which we are breeding.  We used Zips Dark Chocolate on one of our mares several years ago and they produced a very nice colt.  This young gelding has already started his show ring career and will be shown under saddle this year by his current owner.   

Zips Dark Chocolate is by The Miracle Chip, a World and National Champion and the sire of World and National Champions.  In 2006 The Miracle Chip received a Bronze Production Award in recognition of his outstanding performance offsprings.  The Miracle Chip is by Zips Chocolate Chip (AQHA World Champion and twice NSBA Hall of Fame inductee).  Zips Chocolate Chip is AQHA’s all-time leading sire of Western Pleasure point earners.  Zips Dark Chocolate is out of Zip Around Rosie who is by Zip Code One (World Champion, ApPHA Res. World Champion and Versatility Horse) who is by the legendary Zippo Pine Bare (AQHA and NSBA Hall of Fame).

Amie’s dam is CQ Cherian A Dreamin (Annie) one of our home-grown horses by the three-time Canadian National Champion Dream Scheme.  We had planned a show career for Annie and she did earn a couple of halter points before a bone fracture in her knee ended her show career.  Amie is her first foal and it looks like Annie will be a winner as a broodmare. 

Annie’s sire and Amie’s grandsire is Dream Scheme who holds his Canadian National Championships in Aged Halter Stallion, Junior Western Pleasure, and Hunter in Hand Stallion, and was a Reserve Canadian National Champion in Non pro Stallion and Ladies Western Pleasure. Dream Scheme is by Dreamfinder, a U.S. National and World Champion and the sire of U.S. National, Canadian National, and World Champions, as well as ApHC Versatility Champions Dream Scheme's dam holds a ROM in halter and is by Alias Smith and Jones, a successful race horse and supreme champion sire.

CQ Cherian A Dreamin, Amie’s dam, is out of DF Cheri’s Secret, a favorite broodmare of ours who has produced point earners in both halter and performance.  Cheri was by DF Secret Dynasty, by DF Bright Dynasty, by Deep South (ApHC Hall of Fame and Champion 2 and 3 year-old race stallion).
