Annie has done it again - another fine foal.  This colt is as cute as can be and he is a character – friendly and inquisitive.  He is a bright chestnut with just the right amount of a blanket, not too much to be ostentatious but enough to clearly say “Appaloosa.”  He has a very pretty head and neck, strong back, and powerful hips. He is as straight as can be and atheltic to boot. He is sure to be a knock-out in the show ring. Not gelded yet so you could have a breeding stallion. Whoever buys this colt could win big at the World Show in 2013.

Since this colt is the results of a breeding purchased at the World Show Stallion Auction, he is eligible to compete in the World Championship Appaloosa Incentive Classes for large payoffs as a two-year-old. The ApHC is setting aside at least $10,000 for each of three classes including Two-year-old Halter, Two-year-old Hunter under Saddle, and Two-year-old Western Pleasure. First place finishers will receive a minimum of $5,000, second place $3,000 and third place $2,000 in winnings. Here is your opportunity to become a major contender and winner at the 2013 World Show. We are trying to build the reputation of his dam as the producer of quality show horses so we are offering a discount if this colt goes to an established show home. If you are interested in competition, you can’t go wrong with this colt.

We selected Zips Strawsam MMR to breed to our mare CQ Cherian A Dreamin (Annie) in 2011 because of his outstanding achievements in the show ring in both open but particular non-pro events and his success as a sire.  He is a multiple World Champion including Western Riding and has sired World and National Champions. He has been on the ApHC list of Leading Sires of Performance Horses multiple years. Zips Strawsam MMR is by the three-time World Champion Zippos Scotch Bar and is out of Rocket Straw Sam, a Reserve National Champion Western Horse and holder of 7 ROMs. Rocket Straw Sam is by the Hall of Fame stallion Roman Straw Man.  Zips Strawsam MMR has produced some outstanding non-pro champions.
 
This colt’s dam is CQ Cherian A Dreamin (Annie) one of our home-grown horses. We had planned a show career for Annie and she did earn a couple of halter points before a bone fracture in her knee ended her show career, so she became a broodmare.  And, if her first two foals are any indication, she is going to excel in this role. 

Annie’s sire is Dream Scheme, a three-time Canadian National Champion who holds his championships in Aged Halter Stallion, Junior Western Pleasure, and Hunter in Hand, and was a Reserve Canadian National Champion in Non pro-Stallion and Ladies Western Pleasure. Dream Scheme is by Dreamfinder, a U.S. National and World Champion and the sire of U.S. National, Canadian National, and World Champions, as well as ApHC Versatility Champions. Dream Scheme's dam holds a ROM in halter and is by Alias Smith and Jones, a successful race horse and supreme champion sire. CQ Cherian A Dreamin, the colt’s dam, is out of DF Cheri’s Secret, a favorite broodmare of ours.
